What is The Idea Channel?
The Idea Channel is a catalog/retailer for both Free to Choose Media productions and the Idea Channel Discussions.
Free to Choose Media is a non-profit 501-c-3 public foundation whose mission is to use easily understood and entertaining popular media to reach inquisitive minds regarding the value and interrelationship of personal, economic and political freedom sustained by the rule of law. A media company for the 21st century, Free to Choose Media explores the concepts of freedom and wealth creation through expert storytelling and high quality presentation.
The Idea Channel Discussions are video-recorded archival discussions held by and between some of the world's greatest thinkers including many Nobel Prize winners. The focus of these discussions is to provide the general public access to these individuals and their ideas and to present them in a way so that the motivated lay person can understand them. While the production value of these recordings is basic, the ideas presented are timeless. The earliest recorded discussions date back to 1978 and new discussions continue to be added.
New! ideachannel.tv is an online streaming channel which will broadcast all of the aforementioned programs on a 24/7 basis. Signup for our "Program Alerts" to be notified as to when new programs become available.
